{"id":25,"date":"2010-10-30T06:55:19","date_gmt":"2010-10-30T06:55:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wmdfoundation.org\/wordpress\/?page_id=25"},"modified":"2011-11-12T23:40:13","modified_gmt":"2011-11-12T23:40:13","slug":"the-apology-project","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wmdfoundation.org\/wordpress\/?page_id=25","title":{"rendered":"The &#8220;I&#8217;m Sorry&#8221; Project Add Video"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The aim of WMD\u2019s \u201cI\u2019m Sorry\u201d project is to promote healing and reconciliation for all those impacted by the Iraq war, inclusive of American and coalition soldiers and their families through the offering of an apology for the pain and suffering engendered by the war.<\/p>\n<p>WMD was created to promote healing and reconciliation and to generate dialogue as inspired by Desmond Tutu and the \u201cTruth and Reconciliation Commission.\u201d The \u201cI\u2019m Sorry\u201d project\u2019s aim is to encourage healing through dialogue between all those involved in the Iraqi conflict.<\/p>\n<p>We view this project as an educational opportunity to further understanding of our shared humanity and ability to resolve conflict nonviolently.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Video Upload Guidelines<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Each video clip submitted to the \u201cI\u2019m Sorry\u201d project should adhere to the following guidelines. WMD Foundation, Inc. reserves the right to reject any particular submission for these or other reasons.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>You will need a YouTube account in order to upload your video. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/create_account\">Click here<\/a> to create a YouTube account.<\/li>\n<li>Feel free to begin video by stating your first name and location followed by a brief statement in your own words (see examples below).<\/li>\n<li>All video uploads are limited to 7MB in size and two minutes in length.<\/li>\n<li>No profanity, nudity or other offensive material accepted.<\/li>\n<li>Submission of video to WMD implies your consent for WMD to use, edit and publicly post your video as WMD sees fit.<\/li>\n<li>Suggestions for recording video:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure sound is clear\u2014shoot in a quiet location.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure light in on your face and not behind it.<\/li>\n<li>If you\u2019re handy with shooting and uploading video and know some folks that would like to participate, by all means record and upload multiple videos (just make sure that they\u2019re individual uploads).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Upload your clip to YouTube and then use the form below to let us know about it so we can include it on our video page. We will not publish your name or email address. The location information we may use later in order to be able to show, for instance, \u201cAll apologies from San Francisco,\u201d etc.<\/p>\n<p>Then tell your friends about this project!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Examples:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Hi, I\u2019m Georgette from Little Rock, AK.
